Our Story
Sherry, a first-generation Chinese immigrant, moved to the United States in 1980. She embarked on various entrepreneurial ventures before finding Wise Jun-Kombucha in 2022. Her journey was driven by a desire to carve out her own niche within the growing competitive market of kombucha. Unlike leading kombucha brands that dominate the industry, Sherry sought to innovate and challenge conventions with her unique approach.
Traditional jun kombucha, typically made solely with fermented green tea and honey, served as the initial inspiration. However, Sherry questioned the status quo, asking herself, "Why limit it to just green tea?" This sparked the creation of Wise Jun-Kombucha, where experimentation became a cornerstone. Sherry crafted her jun kombucha using an array of house-made fermented teas, such as hibiscus, chrysanthemum, and ginger. This unconventional blend not only reflects Sherry’s creative spirit but also offers a refreshing twist on a beloved ancient beverage.
With Sherry’s persistence and her family’s helping hand and dedication, Wise Jun Kombucha has steadily become a symbol of quality and dedication in the vibrant Bay Area local market scene, captivating the hearts and taste buds of many.
